Using 2FA with a Desktop App

Enable Two Factor Authorization without using a mobile phone! (phone number still required)

If you are not able to use a mobile phone to use 2FA, there is another option!

Follow these steps to enable 2FA using a desktop app on your Computer.

  1. Download the Authy app to your computer (authentication app developed by Twilio)

    Download for Windows Computers or Download for Macs

  2. In the newly downloaded Authy App - complete the sign-up by entering your Mobile Phone Number and email, then verify.

  3. Login to your Monex USA account

  4. Click Enable for the Authentication App in Monex USA Online

  5. On the Authy App - Click the Plus sign to add your Monex USA Account.

  6. An Enable Two-Factor Authentication prompt will appear. Copy the code from your Monex USA account to the Authy App, then click Add Account inside the Authy App
    ​

  7. In the Authy App - Identify a name for this account (ex: Monex USA), then click Save

  8. Enter the 6-digit code From the Authy App to the Monex USA verification code field and click Enroll
    ​

  9. Click Continue
    ​

  10. Next time you log in, enter the 6-digit code from your Desktop Authy App to log in!
