Making Payments

Whether you’re making a single payment, multiple payments, or sending out funds from your holding account, Monex USA Online has you covered.

Making Single Payments

1. In I Want, select the currency you want to get a quote for.


2. In Amount *Wanted*, enter the amount of your desired currency.


3. In I Have, select the currency select the currency you will be using to process the payment.


4. Leave the Amount *To Exchange* field blank. The amount will be determined after the quote is generated and accepted.


5. In Delivery Type, select your preferred payment schedule.


6. Select Get A Quote to proceed to the next step.

7. Once a quote is generated, a rate will be presented to you. Review your quoted rate. It is reserved for 20-30 seconds. If the time expires, select Get Current Quote to receive a new rate.

8. Within the 30-second period, select Buy to proceed with the order or Cancel to stop it.

9. Select the currency you want and click Set Up Payments


10. Verify Currency To Pay is correct

11. In Currency I have, select the currency you will be using to process the payment. This must stay the same across payments being made.

12. In Amount, enter the amount to pay

13. In Pay, select whether you will pay a beneficiary or place the currency in holding. If paying a beneficiary – select the relevant beneficiary in the Beneficiary dropdown

14. In Value Date, select the date for the transaction to take place. This value must stay the same per currency payment. Different currencies may have different value dates.

15. In Payment Reference, you can add a description that will be included in the payment and visible to the beneficiary.

16. If you need to add another payment, select Add another payment and repeat steps 1-7.

17. Select Continue

18. In Method, select the way you will be paying (direct debit or wire) and the amount

19. If you will be using a single payment method, the Amount field will automatically populate the correct amount to pay. If you will be using multiple payment methods, you will need to adjust this field to allow for the proper amount from each method.

20. In From Account, select which account you will be paying from. You can add additional payment methods by selecting Choose Another Payment Method and repeating steps 1-2.

21. Select Complete Your Payment.


After completing your payment, the confirmation page will display your deal number and payment summary. You can print or save the confirmation page as a PDF using the icons on the top right of the screen.


Making Multiple Payments

The Set Up Payments function is the best way to set up two or more payments in multiple currencies. You can set up payments in two ways:

  • Using the currency dropdown method and clicking Set Up Payments

  • Use the Import Payments button and upload a spreadsheet following our template. Recommended when setting up more than X payments.


    Currency dropdown method

  1. Select the currency you want and click Set Up Payments.

  2. Verify Currency To Pay is correct.

  3. In Currency I have, select the currency you will be using to process the payment. This must stay the same across payments being made.

  4. In Amount, enter the amount to pay.

  5. In Pay, select whether you will pay a beneficiary or place the currency in holding. If paying a beneficiary – select the relevant beneficiary in the Beneficiary dropdown.

  6. In Value Date, select the date for the transaction to take place. This value must stay the same per currency payment. Different currencies may have different value dates.

  7. In Payment Reference, you can add a description that will be included in the payment and visible to the beneficiary.

  8. If you need to add another payment, select Add another payment and repeat steps 1-7.

  9. Select Continue.

  10. Review your quoted rate. It is reserved for 30 seconds. If the time expires, select Get Current Quote to receive a new rate.

  11. Within the 30-second period, select Buy to proceed with the order or Decline to stop it. All quotes must be selected at the same time.

  12. In Method, select the way you will be paying (direct debit or wire) and the amount.

  13. In From Account, select which account you will be paying from.*

  14. Select Complete Your Payment.

*You can add additional payment methods by selecting Choose Another Payment Method and repeating steps 12-13.

After completing your payment, the confirmation page will display your deal number and payment summary. You can print or save the confirmation page as a PDF using the icons on the top right of the screen.

Import Payments method

  1. Download and fill out the Import Payments Spreadsheet Template. The template provides examples of the values that can be entered below all of the columns.

  2. When filling out the Import Payments Spreadsheet Template, if the beneficiary has already been added previously, you only need to fill out the columns up to the column titled "xtra". You will need to enter name or nickname in the Beneficiary Type field

  3. If the beneficiary was not added and is new, you will need to fill out all of the the columns that apply besides the Beneficiary and Beneficiary Type column to the left of the "Xtra" column. If any information is missing, you will be able to correct this by selecting Show More and check and Resubmit,

  4. Select Import Payments.

  5. In Currency I have, select the currency you will be using to process the payment

  6. Select Upload a spreadsheet.

  7. If you need to add another payment – follow steps 1-8 listed in the currency dropdown method shown above.

  8. Select Continue.

  9. Review your quoted rate. It is reserved for 30 seconds. If the time expires, select Get Current Quote to receive a new rate.

  10. Within the 30-second period, select Buy to proceed with the order or Decline to stop it. All quotes must be selected at the same time.

  11. In Method, select the way you will be paying (direct debit or wire) and the amount.

  12. In From Account, select which account you will be paying from.

  13. Select Complete Your Payment.

Making Payments from Holding Accounts.

You can make payments from a holding account using the Quick Quote feature.

Quick Quote

1. On the dashboard, locate the QUICK QUOTE section and select the currency you want and the currency you have in the holding account you will be using to make the payment.

2. Select Get a Quote

3. Once a quote is generated, a rate will be presented to you. Review your quoted rate. It is reserved for 20-30 seconds. Within the given time period, select Buy to proceed with the order or Cancel to stop it. If the time expires, select Get Current Quote to receive a new rate.

4. On the FUND YOUR DEAL page, make sure to select which funding source you want to use and all required fields are filled in before selecting Complete Your Payment. This will take you to the confirmation page, completing the payment.
